Union of religions

There are many similarities among all the religions. Few of them are explained here. These are beyond human understanding.
 1. Japa mala

Hindu : Japa mala is used for chanting mantras.
Christianity : The custom of using Japamala was not there in Jews. But it is there in Christianity
Islam: 99 names of Allah was chanted using Misapha
2. Dress
Hindu : A person, without marriage, chooses the path of divine wears brown cloth.People who go for theertha yathra (visiting sacred places) wear white dress.  
Christianity : Jesus is wearing a brown cloth which is not a normal custom of jews.
Islam: People who go for Haj yatra wear white dress which is un-stitched.
3. Divine mother
Hindu : There are various forms of the divine mother being worshipped. Lakshmi, Durga etc.  
Christianity : Worshiping mother form is not there in jews. But in Christianity, Mary is worshiped as the divine mother.
Islam: Gabriel name is similar to the name of Gowri. In Muhammad's path of divinity, she had an important role.
4. Incense
Hindu : sandal, agarbhathi, javvaadhu and other good smelling items are used in puja. Prasadam is given after puja.  
Christianity : Incense is used. Sacred bread is given after prayer.
Islam: Athar and sambrani (incense) are important items.

 5. Important couple
Hindu : Brahma and Saraswathi.  
Christianity : Abraham and Sara.
Islam: Abraham and Sara.
(By shuffling the letters of Brahmaa, we get Abraham and Sara is first part of Saraswathi)
  6. Holy water
Hindu : The sacred water is called "Theertham". The water pond in temples are also called sacred "Theertham".  
Christianity : The sacred water is sprayed for gnana snanam. During celebrations this is used.
Islam: East side of masjid has sacred water which is used before namaaz.
7. Symbol and sacred day
Hindu : Worshiping sun is "Sauram". Shiva is called chandrasekara means one who wears moon. 27 stars are part of life. 11th day after amavasya or purnima is Ekadasi, which is the day of fasting. Friday is important for Devi puja.  
Christianity : Star is called "Star of David" (star with six sides). Sunday is the start of the week and is the important day for prayer.
Islam: Moon and star are the main symbols, part of the flag. Rabi is similar to Ravi (sun) in sanskrit. "Gyaravi shareef" is celebrated after 11th day of a month.  Friday is the sacred day.
 8. Fasting
Hindu : Sabharimala fasting is for 48 days, called one mandala.   
Christianity : Fasting is part of Christianity.
Islam: Ramdhaan (Rama+dhyaan), time to think about the divine. The fasting duration is 30 to 40 days.
 9. Sound
Hindu : Ohm is the pranava manthram.   
Christianity : Amen is similar to Ohm.
Islam: Ameen is similar to Ohm. 786 written in sanskrit looks similar to Ohm.
 10. Holy books
Hindu : Shruthi, Smithi (Tells about Dharma or principles of life) and Bhagavath Gita.   
Christianity : Old Testament and new testament (Bible).
Islam: Shariyath (tells about the principles of behaviour) and Kuran.

 11. Body postures
Hindu : Various body parts are touched (forehead, eyes and ears) and Lord Vishnu's names are told. There are different methods of bowing down (Namaskaram) for men (shaashtaanga) and women(panchaanga).   
Christianity : Touching the various parts of the body (Forehead - Father, chest - son and both the shoulders - sacred soul) and praying is done. During prayer kneeling down is an important posture.
Islam: Namaaz is similar to Namaskaram in sanskrit. Vajraasana is part of aasanas in yoga which is the important posture of namaas.
