Why marriage is important

1. To fulfil the physica desires or kaama within the boundaries of dharma defined which can make one peaceful, happy and stabel

2. To fulfil the pithruruna (to continue the lineage of ancestors) by getting a child.

3. Taking of other 3 aashrama people in the society. (Brahmacharya-unmarried including the children, Vanaprastha - old aged and sanyasa - unmarried priests and saints)

4. To take care of the members of both the families.

5. To see the God in each other to get into the next stage of elevation.

6. To avoid bad thoughts seeing others of opposite sex (with the commitment)

7. To respect others i.e. to avoid animosity

8. To make the root stronger by doing rights to the ancestors, God and relatives etc

If not getting married one should be very clean with thoughts on sex or kaama otherwise one might accumulate more sins.

Elements - Gunas - Activites and Impact

Earth is heavy and has smell
Water is cool and has taste
Fire is hot and it shows (helps to see)
Air is formless and it feels (makes us to feel the touch)
Space is permanent and it hears (helps to hear)

So the senses are satisfied with sound, touch, see, taste and smell outwardly through sex.
But their permanent, formlessness, heat, cool and heaviness help us to be satisfied inwardly through pranayama and meditation. This only can take us to mukthi.

Thamasic activities which take us down are -
Earth - Meat eating
Water - Alcohol
Fire - Watching prono movies
Air - High sexual activities
Space - High beat music

Rajasic activities which keep us in danger zone are -
Earth - Spicy eating
Water - Beverages (aerated)
Fire - Watching movies, TV, mobile and internet (too much)
Air - mild sexual activities
Space - hearing film music

Sathvic activities which can take us up are -
Earth - Eating fresh vegetarian food
Water - Drink lot of water and juices
Fire - Focus on nature (sight seeing)
Air - Doing pranayama and kriya
Space - Doing meditation

Deeper sathvic activities -
Earth - sitting in one place
Water - Drinking only water
Fire - Closing the eyes and seeing inside
Air - Observing the breath
Space - Hearing the silence

These will take us towards peaceful samadhi state. Jaigurudev!

Why learning sanskrit is important

Sanskrit has all the knowledge -
1. Vedas
2. Puraanas
3. Ithihaasas
4. Upanishads
5. Brahma sutra
6. All Dharshanas
7. Bhagavad Gita
8. Sthotras
9. Subhashithams etc

Also its grammar is so complete that learning any other language in the world will be easy.
Sanskrit has the power to cure diseases

Among the Dharma, Artha, Kaama and Moksha, you can find a lot of materials in other languages including Tamil for the first three. But for moksha you need to know sanskrit, because of the above resources.

Even though there are translated documents available, there is no guarantee that they are correct.

My experience
I did my MA project in skanda purana. While doing it, I understood that
1. Tamil skanda purana is different from the sanskrit one.
2. Tamil focuses on surasamharam only but sanskrit focuses on all shivalayas
3. There is no proper English translation available in the world

So learning with the original is better. The language of values is sanskrit.

Threats for our lives and to do list for each

I) Environment

Threats -
1. Karuvelam (a type of tree)
2. Pollution

To do -
1. Remove karuvelam
2. Planting more trees
3. Awareness about protecting agriculture, reducing plastics, using solar energy etc

II) Physical health
Threats -
1. Allopathy medicines
2. Alcohol addiction
3. Non-vegetarian food

To do -
1. Awareness about Sidha and Ayurveda
2. Deaddiction programs
3. Conducting Happiness program

III) Mental health

Threats -
1. Running behind wealth
2. Addiction to senses (sex, movies, TV, over eating etc)

To do -
1. Awareness about Karma (every action has equal and opposite reaction) and seva (doing service to others without expecting anything in return)
2. Meditation
3. Awareness about dharma (living within the principles) and mukthi (freedom and bliss)

IV) Intellectual health

Threats -
1. Wrong education system (lack of values)
2. System is teaching only arthic (only to earn money)

To do -
1. To teach about our culture and its values
2. To teach sanskrit (the mother of all languages)

So to the children, the order of our teaching should be -
1. Teach sanskrit
2. Teach about the culture and values
3. Teach about Karma and seva
4. Yoga, Pranayama and meditation
5. Awareness about senses and their pull-in turn addiction, harms of alcohol and non vegetarian foods, Importance of protecting the environment, Ayurveda

Other projects are -
1. Karuvelam removal and Tree plantation
2. Conducting De addiction programs
3. Arranging Naadipariksha camps
4. Conducting Happiness program
5. Conducting Sanskrit teaching

Why english is called ENGLISH

The letters ending with U sound are - u,q,w  (3)
The letters ending with O sound are - o  (1)
The letters ending with S sound are - s,x  (2)
The letters with other sounds are     - f,h,l,m,n,r,z (7)

The topper is E. Dominated by E sound. So it is called English.

"Look" the "greater" and "greatest" & much more

When I started to learn sanskrit, came across few interesting things about the roots of few English words.

1. Look -
This is from the sanskrit root "Lok", means "to see" and it also means "the world". The world is what we see. Similar to the Tamil word "Paar" means "to see" and also "the world".

2. For comparative and superlative we use greatER and geatEST. This is taken from sanskrit "Thara-Thama". eg: For Mahaan word comparative - "MahaththARA"/MaheYASI and "Mahaththama/MahISHTaha". Even though the spellings are different the sounds are similar.
ER - ARA, EST - ISHT

3. For "paapa" there is an English word "Sin", but for "Punniya", there is no equivalent English word.

4. For plural "they" is used in snaskrit, in English the same spelling is used but we pronounce it as "dhey" not "they". Means "Th" is pronounced as "dh", in English.

5.  "Three" is the same. "Dve" - "Two". The numbers of sanskrit, when used as "dates" or "thithis" there are little similarities. Saptha - seven - Sapthami - september. Nava - Nine - Navami - November. Dasa - ten - December.

Will keep updating. Please share similar thoughts here.

How to get out of stress?

The way we get stress inside and undergo emotional turmoil, there is a way to get out of stress and feel peaceful. There are few steps to follow.

Heavy energy has to be below the hip, if that comes up, that becomes stress and the whole body becomes heavy.

1. Do physical exercise for the hip region. 10 situps, lie down (folding legs/ straighten legs) and get up with out support etc.

2. Then do some yogasanas and pranayamas if you know.

3. Then sit up right and think from the bottom with the colors as shown. Each time connect with the nature, in form of flowers, Greenery and the sky. Then the colors like violet and pink. Taking deep breath each time will help.

4. For the muladhara or below the hip area - red color
Above that in the abdoman area (swadhistana) - Orange, in the stomach region (manipuraha) - Yellow.

5. In anahatha - heart region - green. Vishudhi - throat - Blue, Aagna - Head - Violets.

6. Above that white. This will give relaxation. If possible connect with the real trees and sky.

Why to be a vegetarian? A must read to all, pls.

1) What are the animals which eat non-vegetarian food? Tiger, lion etc
How are their nails and teeth? very sharp

If we were made non-veg by nature, then we would have had such sharp nails and teeth. But we do not have them. So we are made vegetarian by nature.

What the lion does? It eats non-veg food and sleeps for long. How long the python's food takes for digestion? More than 2 days.

2) Do you know about the length of the intestine of those animals and us?
We have very long intestine than those animals (4 times longer). So the food will take longer time to travel for us than them.

3) When the animals get killed, they are fearful. So the vibration of fear is set in all the cells of those animals and so we will also get the same fear, if we eat that flesh.

4) The animals aten by humans, eat many unwanted food items like insects etc. So intern those food items will get into our system.

5) What is the time taken for the food items to get digested by humans?
Fresh vegetables and fruits - 2 hrs
Boiled Rice and proteins      - 4 hrs
For non-vegetarian foods     - 72 hrs

So it takes three days for the non-veg food to get digested. 3 days is a very long period. Any cooked food will get spoiled in 3 days. So the non-veg food will get spoiled completely inside the small intestine. The probability of getting intestine related issues is very high.

6) When we cook the non-veg food items, methane emission which depletes the ozone is very high. So why to torture our system and the environment?

7) If we say that we do not get energy from the vegetarian food, then i have a question -
Which is the animal we refer for bal or shakthi or high energy?
Elephant - Which is a vegetarian animal. So veg can be powerful

Which is the animal we refer to measure the speed of vehicles?
Horse - Which is a vegetarian animal. So veg can be faster.

Vegetarian food is safer and healthier.

Common Prayer - Christian & Hindus

By Hindus - common known statement -  Matha Pitha Guru deivam

Matha - Female aspect of the body. In arthanaareeswar it is in the left side. Mother who is the first one to influence us.

Pitha - Male aspect of the body in the right side. Father who is the second one.

Guru - In the center of the head. The energy which is guiding us through awareness and knowledge.

Deivam -  It is in the heart. Love, it is the divine. Thru Guru We realize and experience the divine love.

During Sandhyavandhan (Upanayanam), the sacred ash is put 7 places in the body. Out of those the first 4 places are similar.

Ohm Medhavi Bhuyaasam (Forehead) - May I be Intelligent
Ohm Thejasvi Bhuyaasam (Herat) - May I be Bright and powerful
Ohm Varchasvi Bhuyaasam (Right shoulder) - May I be Energetic
Ohm Brahma Varchasvi Bhuyaasam (Left Shoulder) - May I become Holy

The last 3 are naval, throat and top of the head.

Christian prayer is very similar.

All the religions teach us good things. We only need to follow them daily.
JaiGurudev!
