One year of human life is equal to one day of Devas.
If we further divide, One human month is equal to two hours of devas.
So,
Tamil month name - Human month = Devas' hours equations -
Thai - January 15th to February 15th = 6 to 8 AM
Masi - February 15th to March 15th = 8 to 10 AM
Panguni - March 15th to April 15th = 10 to 12 AM
Chithirai - April 15th to May 15th = 12 to 2 PM
Vaikasi - May 15th to June 15th = 2 to 4 PM
Aani - June 15th to July 15th = 4 to 6 PM
Aadi -July 15th to August 15th = 6 to 8 PM
Avani - August 15th to September 15th= 8 to 10 PM
Purattasi - September 15th to October 15th = 10 to 12 PM
Aipasi - October 15th to November 15th = 12 to 2 AM
Karthigai - November 15th to December 15th = 2 to 4 AM
Margazhi - December 15th to January 15th = 4 to 6 AM
Since thai is the early day of devas' there is a statement in Tamil, Thai piranthaal vazhi pirakkum. Even for a difficult problem you will get a way in the month of January to February.
Being the mid day of devas, we also experience summer at the time of Panguni to Vaikasi.(March to June)
Being the sandhya time of devas during Aadi month, we worship mother divine. (June to July)
We get diseases and suffer at the time of midnight of devas. That is from Puratasi to Karthigai (September to December). They would be sleeping and cannot help us.
Being the early morning of devas, in the month of Margazhi people get up early and go around for prayers/Bhajans on all days. (December to January)
So from January to July is called Shukla paksha (Upward movement of sun for devas).
From July to January os called Krishna Paksha (Downward movement of sun for devas).
So during Krishna Paksha, all festivals come. Because devas supporting energy will be low and to keep ourselves protected, we need to keep worshiping the divine more.
